In fact, this bike is so fast that many riders have opted for the TR version (with small modifications) as their XC racing weapon, instead of going for the dedicated RC version. This is because unless you are on extremely rough trails, the limiting factor is usually not the suspension travel, but the position that the rider has on the bike and the way it handles.
